Seaweed is so fascinating !
For this project, I visited Brittany (France), California and New Caledonia, but there are so many others to explore! Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Canada and South Africa, to name but a few!

My work consists of highlighting the incredible biodiversity of seaweed species through their incredible range of shapes, colors and textures that make them so diverse. Each expedition is dedicated to an area of high seaweed biodiversity and includes underwater and studio photography of 50 to 70 species representing a cross-section of local seaweed, with the aim of raising public awareness of the importance of these incredible organisms and the delicate ecosystems to which they contribute.
If you'd like to host an artistic or scientific residency, or offer an exhibition space, I'd love to hear from you!
I've always had a deep love for the sea : since an early age, as a sailor on the Island of Oléron in France, where I to spent my hollidays, and later as a sailing instructor. But it was through diving that I discovered a truly fascinating world. Firstly the wrecks off Brittany, for which I wrote a 250-page diving guide and then macro-algae. Underwater photography and capturing the vibrant world of seaweed became my obsession. What amazed me most was the incredible rich diversity that lies beneath the surface, so often overlooked !
